Size and Resolution

You can send the images in JPG (JPeG) or any other resolution.
The images that have a bigger size will be automatically reduced to 1024 and 72 dpi of resolution.

In order to keep the quality of your work, if you’re skilled in graphics programs, we suggest you save and send images with a MAXIMAL resolution of 1024 x 768 at 72dpi with a JPG compression value like 8 in Photoshop.

IN ORDER TO QUICKLY RESIZE THE IMAGES WITHOUT USING ANY GRAPHIC PROGRAM, WE SUGGEST YOU DOWNLOAD THIS FILE.ZIP CONTAINING A LITTLE FREE UTILITY CALLED IMAGE RESIZER POWERTOY, THAT WORKS ONLY ON PCS WITH WINDOWS XP.

Download it and save it on your pc, then open the archive and install the file.
After you installed it, in the windows TASK MANAGER window, you’ll be able to select one or more images and, pressing the right side of the mouse, in the menu that will show, you’ll be able to use the IMAGE RESIZE command to change the dimensions of your images as you wish.
In this way, you can easily and fast resize any AMBITION image or group of images.
AMBITION can under no circumstances be considered responsible for any damage eventually caused by the installation or improper use of the tool.

Suggestion for the shot

As described in the official rule, in order to take part to the contest the images need to contain AMBITION elements (objects, logo or AMBITION writings) but the main subject of the image is, of course, free.
We can tell you, out of experience, that the most successful shots are the “funny” ones, where a simple idea ( a grimace, a funny situation, or a peculiar object) obtains more votes.
This is not a contest where the technique wins, but the best ideas and capabilities to express them.
Although it’s not essential, being a good photographer can be of great help…
